LUCKY STRIKE STILL A SMART SPRINTER

LUCKY STRIKE (40) continues to be a win machine despite reaching seven years of age. His recent win in the Group 3 LOTTO Trophy at Hamburg stretched his unbeaten run this season to three.

My read of Lucky Strike is that he's not suited to really big fields. He's lost all five times he's contested races with 14 runners or more. He's run below form a couple of times on his seasonal debut and when racing over a mile. But in races of less than a mile after his seasonal debut he has now won twelve times out of thirteen in fields of 13 or less.

Lucky Strike has already won a Group sprint in France, so I'd watch out for him if he ships out of Germany for another big race this season.
