PRIMARY STARTS TO LOOK INTERESTING
I can only make ballpark speed ratings for Italy at
present. But I have to mention the seriously good time recorded by PRIMARY (39)
when taking a Listed race at San Siro. He clocked 2.00.3 for the ten furlongs
and only a very good horse can run that sort of time at San Siro however fast
the going.
Primary didn't seem to stay the twelve furlongs in the
Chester Vase (or it could be he disliked the slow pace) and he lost his action
in the Dewhurst Stakes. He's now won all his other four starts and might well be
a Group 1 horse. Certainly I'd be wary of opposing him in his next start.
